Here is what Kitty's foster mom has to say about her: Kitty has got to be at leat 80+ lbs. She is close to 27 inches at the shoulder. Dispite her size, she is one of the calmest, most gentle dogs I have met. Vet guesses that Kitty is somewhere around 4 years old. She is spayed, UTD on shots, HW-, and on preventative. Kitty is a very sweet dog. She love to have attention, but is not pushy about it. She will usually walk over and sit down beside you when she wants some affection. She will sometimes give you the paw when asked, especially if there is a treat involved!! She is very calm in the house...she walks around gently..no running, charging or jumping. She is the only one I have that shows no interest in getting on the furniture. A nice soft dog bed near her people keeps her very happy. She will occasionally go get on the bed. She loves to follow you around the house, and is more than willing to sit by and supervise when you are in the kitchen cooking. She is a confident dog, and does well when introduced to new people. Kitty gets along well with other dogs...she is currently living with 8 other shepherds. She may bark a bit when first introduced to a new dog, but then she does fine. She will run around the yard playing and chasing with a few of the younger ones. Kitty should probably not go to a home with any hyper small dogs...they make her a bit nervous. Kitty has no interest in the resident cat, who is dog friendly. May glance at him once in a while, but has made no effort to chase or even sniff him. Kitty is an inside dog...she does not like to be left outside by herself. She has shown no destructive tendencies when left inside at home during the day. Kitty will do best in a environment where she gets to spend a lot of time with her people. She enjoys going for rides in the car and is an excellent passenger. Kitty would love to have a friendly dog buddy to keep her company when the people are not home. |
